The land of Libya is mostly desert.

In this sandy land Sahara, the sun is burning hot and it rains little, once or twice a year.
An enormous length of water pipes is laid and connected across Libya.

Back in 1953, a huge amount of water was discovered deep beneath this barren land.
It is as huge as the Nile river could flow for 200 years.
In 1984, the world's largest civil construction, a total of 5524 km long has finally started.
And this grand aqueduct was completed by Korean manpower and technology.
Now drinking water is being supplied to large cities such as Tripoli and Benghazi.

Sahara is no longer a land of death, but a green oasis.
