Pluto's love message. - Pluto has a dream.

Discovery

Pluto was first discovered in 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh, who worked at the Lowell Observatory in the United States. He compared photos taken every few weeks to see if there were any movements in the celestial bodies and found Pluto's motion. The stars are in the same position all the time, but the planets move around in orbit and come back on the same day.

Pluto is too far away that it can not be seen with the naked eye, and its size is smaller than the moon. The revolving cycle is 248 earth years, the rotating cycle is more than 6 days, and the temperature is -248 degrees, it is very cold.

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and then ninth planet, Pluto... However, Pluto, the last planet in the solar system, lost its qualification in 2006 and was classified as a dwarf planet and named 134340 Pluto.

This is because the General Assembly of IAU in the Czech Republic has redefined the planet.

Pluto is slow. 

But it orbits around the sun and has a spherical shape. However, the mass was too small to attract the surrounding materials. As a result, Pluto's orbit is distorted in an elliptical shape, and it may overlap into Neptune's orbit.

Since a number of ice-like objects similar to Pluto have been found, which are tied together as a Kuiper belt and called Plutoid. Pluto has now a new hometown and comet friends.

Pluto, long obscured by darkness, was called by the people, the god of the underground. In Greek mythology, the Roman name for Hades, the god of the underground, is Pluto.

In 2015, however, NASA's New Horizons sent a close-up picture of Pluto, where you could see a clear 'heart image' that became a symbol of Pluto. This is the Tombo Reggio area which named after the first discoverer Tombo.

Pluto has a dream.

It was once called the king of the underground, but Pluto was a star with a 'warm heart' obviously. Although it has lost its fame, it still moves around the outer orbits of the solar system slowly and stays with us.

It serves as a bridge connecting the solar system with more than 2,000 small objects of the Kuiper Belt that have been discovered so far, and is sending us a message of 'Love(Heart)'.
